"Mustad is dedicated to producing best in class terminal tackle for the bass market, helping land more fish for both professional and recreational anglers alike," says Jordan Davis, President, O. Mustad & Son Americas. "We're also committed to the growth of the sport and are thrilled to continue support of our pro staff by partnering with Major League Fishing as a sponsor of the inaugural Bass Pro Tour."

Jim Wilburn, MLF President and CEO, says, "You don't need to use 'hooks' in the descriptive when you say Mustad because the name is one of the most recognizable in all of fishing and anglers everywhere know what this company makes. They've done an amazing job of staying on the front-end of bass anglers' ever-evolving needs in fish hook innovation, with a lot of that insight coming from some of their pros who are fishing our Bass Pro Tour. We're pleased to welcome Mustad aboard in 2019."

Mustad proudly sponsors and supports a number of pro staffers around the world with each bringing something unique to the table, whether it's the locations they fish, the species they pursue or their particular techniques of expertise. Mustad pros fishing the 2019 Bass Pro Tour are Kevin VanDam, Mark Rose and Cliff Pace.

The Bass Pro Tour is a premier 80-angler, eight-event series that culminates with a championship at season's end. MLF's made-for-television format has proven to be appealing to viewers of all ages, which reinforces one of the primary goals of the league's founders: grow the interest and participation in fishing by exposing the sport in a highly entertaining manner to a broad national audience across the United States.

The Mustad sponsorship provides brand presence throughout Bass Pro Tour promotional opportunities, including on the MLF NOW! live-stream program that delivers seven hours of real-time coverage during each competition day.

Every Bass Pro Tour stop will also be developed into a two-hour television show to air on Discovery Channel in the fourth quarter of 2019, and then repeat on Sportsman Channel in first and second quarters 2020.
